As AVI-SPL is a  partner with Tannoy, I headed over to its booth at InfoComm earlier this month to learn about its newest audio products. The appeal of its sister company Lab.gruppen’s just-launched LUCIA (Localized Utility Compact Intelligent Amplification) is that it takes a decentralized approach to distributing audio. LUCIA provides high-quality audio designed for  small lecture spaces, classrooms, boardrooms, and bars and restaurants. Some of its features:

  • 4×4 mix matrix
  • 2 × 60 W (LUCIA 120/2) or 2 × 120 W (LUCIA 240/2) into 8, 4 or 2 ohms
  • Fail-safe operation

AVI-SPL has the expertise to bring your audio project to light.  To learn more, or ask questions, speak with an AVI-SPL representative at 866-559-8197 or fill out our contact form.

Chief and Samsung Showcase Standout Digital Signage Solutions at InfoComm 2013

Chief FUSION digital signage mount

Commercial Integrator highlights a couple of digital signage solutions showcased at  last week’s InfoComm. One, the  Chief FUSION™ LC3X1U, is a ceiling mount that can hold three large-format displays in perfect alignment in areas where a wall mount isn’t practical.

CI also looked at Samsung, which introduced its new C Series of digital signage solutions. Some of these LED-backlit displays support the Samsung Smart Digital Signage platform, which was named “Best New Digital Signage System” by AV Technology magazine.

Samsung’s ME75B LED-backlit LCD was recognized as “Best Flat Panel Display – Larger Than 70 inches” by Rental & Staging Systems magazine.

Epson Pro G Series Turns Heads at InfoComm 2013

Like many vendor booths at InfoComm, Epson set theirs up to showcase products capable of great visuals.  One standout was its PowerLite Pro G6150, a model tailor-made for retail clothing stores. As demonstrated, it is able to project images on fully dimensional objects. In this particular set up, those objects were store mannequins, and the images projected onto them a variety of apparel. Another PowerLite model on display has improved video processing and can wrap images without distortion on a corner wall.

Epson BrightLink 1410WiAnother great Epson product I saw up close is the BrightLink Pro 1410Wi short-throw projector. Epson calls it their “meeting room productivity tool.”

It turns any surface into an interactive whiteboard. You can create a new file or annotate an existing one. When done, use the email, print or save function to share the content. The 1410Wi doesn’t require a direct connection from a laptop. Copy your files to a flash drive, plug it into a wall unit, and presto — the information is instantly carried to the projector.
