The Value of Managed Services to Higher Education

Systems Contractor News looks at the value integrators provide to higher education, which continues to invest in video collaboration solutions. The article looks at the advances being made in video walls and in placing collaboration platforms on a network.

It also looks at the importance of collecting data to see which rooms and equipment are being used, and how often. That leads to a highlight of AVI-SPL and its ability to collect and analyze such data . Jeff Van Horn, sales and engineering manager, talks about AVI-SPL’s managed services and why it matters.

At EDUCAUSE This Week? See AVI-SPL’s Advanced Viz Display

If you’re an educator interested in learning about the newest technology, you or your colleagues have good reason to be at this week’s EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, the premier event for IT professionals and technology providers in higher education. The conference’s exhibition, which is Nov. 1 – 2 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philly, creates networking opportunities for colleagues to talk bout their strategies, programs, what’s working, and what isn’t.

When you visit AVI-SPL at booth #2301, you’ll see a Barco cave display we’ve set up for guests, and you’ll learn about advanced visualization and how the technology is being used in higher ed.

About Cave Displays (taken from the Barco Cave Displays page)

A cave display is a multi-sided immersive environment that offers great levels of immersion. Barco cave displays can have any number of sides, ranging from two to six, in any size you want. Furthermore, caves are completely customizable to your specific demands, and can be a fixed or transportable installation with rigid or flexible screens, high or lower resolutions, with active or passive 3D, or even both.

In this map of the exhibitor floor plan, you’ll find AVI-SPL at the bottom left. We’ve got friendly faces there who want to talk to you, demonstrate our value to higher ed, and leave you with a good impression about trusting your project to AVI-SPL.

At the EDUCAUSE event website, you can register to attend. Amidst the mass of people and rows of booths, we’ll make you feel welcome. See you there.
