LifeSize, which specializes in innovative video conferencing solutions, has recently released its Icon series. In the video below, a number of key players at LifeSize discuss how this latest innovation offers an intuitive interface that takes the intimidation out of video conferencing. Among the speakers in the video is Simon Dudley, who has worked with AVI-SPL for our webinar series, and delivered a presentation on virtualization of the video conferencing infrastructure:
Dallas – Thanks to video technology, parents with babies in the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas neonatal intensive care unit can check in on and even speak to their babies from anywhere with an internet connection.
Our Dallas team worked with the hospital to design an easy-to-use system with video and audio feeds from the NICU’s 15 incubators. Each incubator is equipped with an audio system that allows parents to communicate with their babies via a secure website.
“I think we were all surprised at how much of a difference it seemed to make,” NICU Medical Director Dr. Gerald Nystrom said. “They [parents and family] can check on their baby’s status at any time and be reassured and then get the rest that they need.”
The recording of the webinar “A Look Into the Future of Video Communications,” is now available. Simon Dudley, video evangelist for Lifesize, looked at where video communications has been, its value to organizations and the latest LifeSize solutions that are making it easier to adopt.
