Distributing Sound and Video for FIU’s School of International and Public Affairs

A successful integration is more than the sum of its high-profile equipment and solutions – those displays and video conferencing equipment that provide the “wow factor.”  Florida International University’s new home for its School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) required the latest audiovisual presentation solutions for areas including a 300-plus seat auditorium, two distance-learning interactive classrooms, multimedia classrooms, and two conference rooms with high-definition video conferencing capabilities. And while there’s plenty of “wow” to be seen, AVI-SPL delivered the signals and sounds by implementing solutions by TV One, Tannoy, Liberty AV and Extron.

Tannoy speakers deliver clear, strong audio to attendees in the conference and boardrooms, and Liberty AV wall and floor plates are essential to making connections in the auditorium, classrooms and boardroom.

All of the video signal distribution and amplification is handled by Extron solutions while signal scaling and up, down and cross conversion is trusted to TV One equipment. Discover additional solutions that AVI-SPL used when you read the project profile of AVI-SPL’s integration for FIU SIPA.

TV One Releases New CORIOmaster For Video System Control

C3-540 CoriomasterAs part of AVI-SPL’s free webinar series, TV One introduced the CORIO® technology behind its video processors. This year, TV One has just recently unveiled a new, powerful and simple way to build video systems — the C3-540 CORIOmaster.

Using TV One’s patented CORIO 3 firmware technology, the C3-540 combines image scaling and processing power to achieve multi window and multi output combinations within a 4RU chassis, doing the work that would otherwise require multiple pieces of equipment. It can display images from a variety of sources — including video cameras and PCs — or bring them together as one large video wall image along with 360-degree rotation of outputs, multi-PIP windows and 360-degree rotation of windows.

The C3-540 acts as a central matrix processor/router that processes and distributes a mix of analog and digital sources, producing clear, crisp, flicker-free high-resolution images. Each output can be manipulated in real time for use in creative video wall applications, and a multi-viewer allows for source preview during live events.

Features:

  • Low power consumption
  • Hot swappable modules
  • 16 Universal AV module slots
  • Digital flicker elimination
  • Up, down and cross conversion among analog and digital video
