EY and CS2 add ‘showbiz glitz’ to Entrepreneur Awards Shows

AVI-SPL Creative Show Services teamed once again with Ernst & Young to recognize and celebrate the successes of southern business leaders. At the June 12th black tie gala, EY delivered its annual Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Florida awards at the Hilton Orlando. On June 26, we did it again in Atlanta at the InterContinental Buckhead. The Southeast Program recognized entrepreneurs across Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

For more than 15 years, producer Bill Baxter and show director Keith Lasher have worked with EY program directors and artists to create stunning, prestigious awards shows. We began with Florida and later expanded into other regional programs.

For dynamic awards shows, it is critical to apply the latest HD and show technologies to bring the programs to life through animated show themes, live house bands, stunning sets and spectacular lighting. Participants got a front-row seat as we projected more than 30 minutes of original content, profiling the achievements of the finalists from each region. Rounding out the glitz-filled evenings, audiences were treated to customized laser and music shows, making unforgettable experiences for the audiences of 500 entrepreneurs and their teams.

AVI-SPL wants to congratulate all the winners from Florida and the Southeast region for their stellar achievements.

AVI-SPL CS2 lights up Stadium of Fire

For the 9th consecutive year, AVI-SPL Creative Show Services joined thousands of spectators at the America’s Freedom Festival in Provo, UT to celebrate Independence Day at the event that dates back to 1870s. The signature event is Stadium of Fire that takes place on July 4th and has been ongoing for the past 33 years.

The event attracts an average of 40,000 visitors from all 50 states and is televised to more than 1 million military men and women around the world via American Forces Network.

While the rest of the country was celebrating, the CS2 team was behind the scenes, making sure that the event goes as planned. AVI-SPL provided all media control-playback equipment, and created all lighting and visual elements during the entire Stadium of Fire. Those included creative designs for the performance of six-time Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood, who headlined the event together with J.R. Martinez, a U.S. Army veteran and winner of ABC’s season 13 of Dancing with the Stars. Mimi Knowles opened up for Underwood and kept the crowd entertained together with Studio C, a sketch comedy show cast from Brigham Young University TV, the Stadium of Fire Dancers, and Flippenout acrobatics.

The celebration culminated with fireworks over LaVell Edwards Stadium, said to be the largest stadium fireworks show in America.

CS2 Opens Bocelli’s 2014 World Tour

Acclaimed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli left for his whirlwind world tour last week, but this year’s tour officially started with a romantic Valentine’s Day show in south Florida.

For the fifth consecutive year, our Creative Show Services team joined Bocelli to kick off his tour with a concert at the BB&T Center stage in Sunrise, FL. This year’s show featured songs from Bocelli’s Love in Portofino album, which will be released in October. As a special treat, Bocelli delighted the audience by inviting seven-time Grammy® award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Gloria Estefan to join him onstage for an exclusive performance.

Bocelli’s world tour runs through November, then he will return to the U.S. for a brief holiday tour. Our CS2 team will join Bocelli for the six-city tour, which kicks off December 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The tour will stop in Houston, Dallas, Chicago and Detroit before closing at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on December 17. Tour tickets are now available.
