December 13th, 2008 at 6:30 pmWe should continue to lobby the USGBC to incorporate AV into the point systems and to allow for LEED points on buildings when AV systems reduce carbon footprints. For example, a tele-video commuter reduces the not only the emmissions associated with traveling to and from work, but also the size requirements of the building itself by an average of about 150 square feet. Software-based AV control solutions like Utelogy’s You-nify platform also remove the hardware associated with systems. Greener still!
