Rapid Rooms: Your Path to Workplace Transformation

When your company is focused on improving its collaborative culture, it will want to see changes sooner rather than later. That’s why AVI-SPL has introduced a system that can make that transformation happen in a relatively brief amount of time.

Rapid Rooms is AVI-SPL’s system for quickly deploying pre-configured, standardized collaboration spaces with proven AV and UC technology throughout your workplace, around the world. A press release AVI-SPL issued during InfoComm noted that Rapid Rooms includes an “AV-as-a-service model for hardware, software, and managed service contract wrapped into one, fixed, monthly fee.” It also includes refresh cycles to address lifecycle management and ensure that solutions are always current. Other benefits include:

  • Designed to be installed within 45 days
  • Can be quickly onboarded to Symphony, which is AVI-SPL’s remote monitoring platform
  • Comes with AVI-SPL’s Customer Care support
  • Quick quoting for standard room configurations
  • Functional drawings tool to help customers visualize their collaboration spaces

They are a subset of the company’s Smart Spaces,™ AVI-SPL’s system for quick deployment of conference rooms and collaboration spaces.

The Value of Managed Services to Higher Education

Systems Contractor News looks at the value integrators provide to higher education, which continues to invest in video collaboration solutions. The article looks at the advances being made in video walls and in placing collaboration platforms on a network.

It also looks at the importance of collecting data to see which rooms and equipment are being used, and how often. That leads to a highlight of AVI-SPL and its ability to collect and analyze such data . Jeff Van Horn, sales and engineering manager, talks about AVI-SPL’s managed services and why it matters.

Service Support for the New Workplace

This is the fourth in a series of blog posts about improving the workplace through collaboration technology. See parts one, two, and three.

So far we’ve covered huddle spaces — what they are, knowing the kind of collaboration tools you should have in yours, and how to design them for quick-start meetings.

To maintain the high-quality user experience in these collaboration spaces, you have to ensure that those rooms are always ready, and that you can retrieve analytics on how often they are used.

Frost & Sullivan has a brief, valuable paper that addresses this topic of supporting video conferencing. It touches on:

  • Challenges to supporting digital transformation
  • Top demands from IT to ease video conferencing management
  • AVI-SPL’s Unify ME Symphony platform

AVI-SPL’s Unify ME Symphony is a monitoring, management, and analytics platform that gives you insight into and control of your organization’s total meeting and AV and unified communications systems environment. It provides a global view of AV and meeting technology, status, and quality, while automating meeting scheduling, launching, and troubleshooting.

Frost & Sullivan named AVI-SPL its 2016 North American Company of the Year for Managed Video Conferencing Services. In the paper that accompanied the award, Frost & Sullivan called Unify ME Symphony the “cornerstone technology” of AVI-SPL’s managed services.
