During this webinar, AVI-SPL Project Managers Mike Cenzer and Rob Thomsen look at the advanced audio visual solutions that make the new Hunt Library at North Carolina State University a model for the modern university library. With its video walls, visualization technology, and video conferencing spaces, the Hunt Library offers faculty and students flexible spaces for multimedia presentations, research and collaboration. Some of the areas touched on include the audio distribution by Biamp, AMX control system technology, the visual displays by Christie and Sharp, a SMART Technologies presentation system, and Cisco video conferencing and TelePresence systems.

Mike Cenzer, a project manager with AVI-SPL, has nearly 25 years of experience as an audio visual commercial integrator. His specialties include commercial audio/video sales, design, project management, and installation, as well as video conferencing and telepresence support.

Samsung Showcases Signage Platform at Sign Expo

Samsung digital signageSamsung is known for its TV’s in home theater, but in the commercial space, its  digital signage offerings are the main draw. This week, at the International Sign Expo in Las Vegas, Samsung is showcasing its Smart Signage Platform, which it describes as an open-source platform that streamlines the integration process. Solutions provider AVI-SPL has installed Samsung displays in many environments for use as digital signage, video conferencing displays and as part of video walls.

If you are at the show this week, be sure to attend “The Samsung Smart Signage Platform: Making Dynamic Digital Signage Simple,” which is being offered Friday, April 5 at 1 p.m. PST and Saturday, April 6, also at 1 p.m. These half-hour sessions will focus on the shift from static to dynamic digital signage that gives organizations more options than a fixed loop of video.

Webinar Recording: Capture and Stream Digital Content

The webinar recording for “Capture and Stream Digital Content With Crestron,” is now available. During his presentation, Jeff Singer, director of global marketing campaigns for Crestron, looked at a number of solutions, including Crestron DigitalMedia. He also explained the benefits of Capture HD, a hands-free solution for recording and distributing high-def presentations.  Healthcare providers, educators and those responsible for corporate training should find much of interest in this webinar.
