AVI-SPL Creative Show Services presents Tampa Small Business of the Year Awards

"Creative Show Services" Tampa
2012 Small Business of the Year Awards

On Friday, September 20th, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce will hold its prestigious 33rd annual Small Business of the Year Awards banquet. Small businesses have been defined as the “backbone of America’s economy” and AVI-SPL Creative Show Services is proud to support it.

For more than 10 consecutive years, we have participated actively in the SBOY Awards preparations and execution. CS2 provides the sound, lighting, video, screens, projectors and 15+ crew members for the night of the event. Although the ceremony is only one night, we have already worked on this project for almost six months. CS2 works with the Tampa Chamber to enhance the show graphics provided to us. We created all of the video content, including intro videos and category videos that highlight the 23 finalists. In addition, all of the voiceovers and magic themed music was compiled by the CS2 team.

To qualify for Small Business of the Year, a company must have between 5-250 employees, have been in business for at least three years, and must be located in the Tampa Bay area. Every year the awards ceremony is thematically organized. This year’s theme is “The Magic of Small Business” and features magician and illusionist Nathan Coe Marsh, who was recommended by our creative team, and will perform live at the event.

Check back here after the event for post-show updates and photos from the event.

Congratulations to all the nominees!

AVI-SPL Creative Show Services Presents Stadium of Fire

"Stadium of Fire" "Independence Day" "AVI-SPL"Provo, UT – This Independence Day, for the 8th consecutive year, AVI-SPL’s Creative Show Services team joined one of the biggest patriotic celebrations in the country – the America’s Freedom Festival in Provo, UT. The festival dates back to 1870s. The signature event is Stadium of Fire that takes place on July 4th and has been ongoing for the past 33 years.

The event attracts an average of 40,000 visitors from all 50 states and in addition, it is televised to more than 1 million military men and women around the world via American Forces Network. This year the event was sold out and reached 65,000 spectators.

While the rest of the country was celebrating, we were behind the scenes, making sure that everything goes as smooth as planned. AVI-SPL, as a proud owner of catalyst media servers, provided all media control-playback equipment. We also created all lighting and visual elements that were projected during the entire Stadium of Fire. Those included creative designs for the performance of Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson, who headlined the event, as well as for pop star Carly Rae Jepsen and the acrobats from Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil.

The celebration culminated with breathtaking fireworks, said to be the largest stadium fireworks show in America.

AVI-SPL Creative Show Services Hit the Road with Andrea Bocelli

"Andrea Bocelli" AVI-SPL "Creative Show Services"Andrea Bocelli kicked off his 2013 U.S. Tour “Passione” with a show-stopping concert on February 8 in Sunrise, FL. The world renowned tenor wowed his audience of more than 12,000 people with over 2 ½ hours of pop and operatic performance and drew standing ovations during several encores. Bocelli performed the well-known “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás” and “New York, New York” among many.

Of course, the entire event would not have been complete without the incredible support of our own team from Creative Show Services, led by executive producer John Orchard and technical director Keith Lasher.

For the past 12 years, AVI-SPL has supplied all video and lighting equipment for Bocelli’s U.S. tours. This tour required four 53` trucks to transport the gear. This year, the staging features a 60×40` LED screen that projects live segments from the concert combined with imagery provided by the Bocelli creative group. A team of 15 people from AVI-SPL, (5 lighting and 10 video operators), together with 30 local stage hands, work each show.

While Bocelli is touring around the world, AVI-SPL is preparing for his next U.S. appearance on June 5th in Denver, CO, followed by Los Angeles, CA; Anaheim, CA; Newark, NJ and Albany NY.

In December, Bocelli will be back for his Christmas tour, starting on December 7th in Las Vegas, NV. He will also visit Phoenix, AZ; Brooklyn, NY; Washington, DC; Tampa, FL and Atlanta, GA

As usual, CS2 and AVI-SPL will be there to ensure that Bocelli’s admirers will receive an amazing and unforgettable experience. For more information, visit www.andreabocelli.com or www.creativeshowservices.com.
