AVI-SPL Expands Managed Services With Remote Management of AV Devices

Earlier today, AVI-SPL announced it has expanded its video managed services to consolidate support of all meeting room devices. From our dedicated VNOCs, AVI-SPL monitors every network-connected device for your meeting experience in order minimize downtime and correct problems before they affect your operations.

How does VNOC Symphony AV Monitoring work?

A core management tool at the client site notifies the AVI-SPL VNOC® of any equipment issues. From the VNOC Symphony dashboard, dedicated help desk staff can view alarms and device status information. Symphony gathers information from SNMP-compliant devices and vendor monitoring systems, and will automatically open trouble tickets. By eliminating the need for onsite field technicians to detect and diagnose a problem, we expedite the resolution of any device issue.

We've also recently improved our ability to manage a client's devices. AVI-SPL's Communicator Proxy provides standards-based polling of all devices within the customer’s network and reports the information back to VNOC Symphony in real-time. Instead of hundreds of devices trying to talk to the cloud through the enterprise firewall, all communication is consolidated through the proxy, which provides the information to the VNOC.
