NICU Live Video Lets Parents Connect with Babies Remotely

Dallas - Thanks to video technology, parents with babies in the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas neonatal intensive care unit can check in on and even speak to their babies from anywhere with an internet connection.

Our Dallas team worked with the hospital to design an easy-to-use system with video and audio feeds from the NICU's 15 incubators. Each incubator is equipped with an audio system that allows parents to communicate with their babies via a secure website.

“I think we were all surprised at how much of a difference it seemed to make,” NICU Medical Director Dr. Gerald Nystrom said. “They [parents and family] can check on their baby’s status at any time and be reassured and then get the rest that they need.”
