TAMPA, Fla. – December 4, 2012 – AVI-SPL has named the newest members of the company’s sales leadership team. Debra Blanco, David Ellis, Jeff Griffith, Kyle Morgan and Teresa Renaud will lead the company’s sales organization as sales managers in their respective markets.
“We’ve promoted and recruited these new sales managers in order to increase our focus on front line sales management and coaching. Our new team will play a big role in AVI-SPL’s new sales strategy going forward,” said Don Mastro, executive vice president of sales, AVI-SPL.
AVI-SPL’s existing and new sales managers for each major metro market in U.S. and Canada will report to the new senior vice presidents of sales and will serve as the front line sales management for their respective offices. Sales managers are dually charged with coaching and developing local sales talent and with allocating pre-sales engineering support required for the complexity of today’s audio and video communications systems.
AVI-SPL has a sales force of nearly 200 in North America. This change enables the AVI-SPL sales account managers to focus solely on long-term customer relationship management, while a support team of video solutions engineers and managed services representatives develop the customized systems and service practice.
AVI-SPL’s Ft. Lauderdale team welcomes new sales manager Debra Blanco. In her new role, Blanco will continue to drive AVI-SPL’s repeat business while fostering new relationships in order to capture new business in new industries and vertical markets. Blanco previously worked with BT Conferencing where she spent the last 11 years as a territory sales manager concentrating on selling to state and local government and higher education clients.
New sales manager David Ellis will join AVI-SPL’s Los Angeles office to lead the sales efforts in the region. Most recently, Ellis was Liberty AV Solutions’ director of sales for the western region. He also spent over seven years with AMX as the vice president of western operations. Ellis has extensive experience with building and managing sales teams.
Kyle Morgan has been promoted to sales manager in AVI-SPL’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. Morgan will manage key enterprise accounts in this leadership role. He will also focus on selling video conferencing, VNOC and managed services to current customers. Morgan joined AVI-SPL in 2008 as account manager after working for Sigcom, Inc. as the director of business development.
In the Houston office, Jeff Griffeth has also been promoted to sales manager where he’ll focus on driving business development with oil and gas clients. Griffeth joined AVI-SPL in 2008 as an account manager and has played a key role in growing sales in the energy market.
New sales manager Teresa Renaud joins AVI-SPL’s Detroit office where she’ll lead the sales force across the state. Renaud worked for Cisco Systems for over 15 years where she developed and deployed unified communications solutions.
