Let’s Do Video profiled the AVI-SPL and Acano partnership in depth back in August. AVI-SPL offers customers Acano’s video collaboration products and services, enabling users to create what are called coSpaces, or virtual huddle rooms where collaborators can share group notes and take part in group chat while seeing participants in real time.
The key to the partnership’s value for customers is flexibility: AVI-SPL and Acano offer the kind of services and products that can fit the way different organizations operate. So a company can host the Acano offering on its own server, or leave it to AVI-SPL to support.
Contact AVI-SPL at 866-559-8197 or firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about the Virtual Meeting Room options available to you with Acano or any of our other video collaboration offerings.
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority — or L.A. Metro, as it’s known — designs, builds and operates public transportation for nearly 10 million people in L.A. County. Until recently, L.A. Metro has relied on outdated technology to conduct and record the hearings held at its headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.
The system, which was analog and dated to the early 1990s, was long overdue for an upgrade to its AV infrastructure.
AVI-SPL implemented systems from a number of its valued manufacturer partners to make this project a success and give L.A. Metro the improved communication capabilities it needed.

On December 16, 2014, industry publication rAVe announced its inaugural AV Hall of Fame, and among the first inductees was Marty Schaffel, AVI-SPL’s founder. Marty founded legacy AVI in 1979 and started it on its path to becoming the number one AV systems integrator in North America.
In this adorable installment of our annual holiday card, Santa and his elves rely on that AVI-SPL staple — video conferencing — to make sure the teddy bears for all the good girls and boys will have enough stuffing.
